What If...

Whatever You Do, Do It in Love for the Glory of God! April 1, 2013 Have you ever wondered why the world is the way it is today? Where did we go wrong? Why do we remember the strangest things from our childhoods that are so vivid to us long into our adult years? Why are we still hurt from things that happened so many years ago? I could go on and on, but then it came to me… it is because things could have been handled differently. With the passing of Easter, I watched many TV shows about Jesus’ crucifixion. I observed so many things would have happened differently, if the people that were in power would have handled things differently. I know that all things had to come to pass for Jesus to save our souls, but what if things happened differently… ·          What if…Pontus Pilot chose to take charge & heed the warnings from his wife’s dream and had chosen to give Jesus mercy and listen to what he had to say instead of letting corrupt people make the decision for him?

CRAIG'S HEART EMERGENCY

Image
Around August 11, 2009 I get a call from my cousin, Delane. She tells me that Craig had an appointment with his heart doctor that morning and they ended up rushing him to Birmingham at Trinity Medical Center with a 99% blockage to an artery in the heart and a 95% blockage to an artery in his neck. James and I took off to Birmingham to meet Delane, Aunt Irene and my sister Geinger. Later, Lisa my ex-sister in law, her mom Ramona and Craig's daughter, Jordan came to see him. God intervened on Craig's behalf that day, no other way to explain it. Neck surgery lasted for several hours and doctors said they got all the blockage. Thank you, Jesus! I praise God for all who came to see and help Craig. He might have not made it another day, if he hadn't had the doctors appointment that day. Craig got a new chance to live and we got a blessing to see the hands of God at work!

Rattlesnake in Front Yard

Image
Last night I get a call from Terry Glover and he tells me that his son killed a rattle snake on the road in front of our house. Many people stopped by to get a look at the snake. The head and tail have been cut off and the snake is still about 4 ft. long. Wow! What a night!

Matt's Injuries on Mission Serve 2009

Image
I got a call on Monday, July 13th from James. He said that Matt fell off a roof on Mission Serve, but is ok. I could tell by James' voice that he was shaken up a bit. Apparently James, Matt and the crew was covering the roof of a house they were working on with plastic. James told Matt not to step on the plastic. Matt thought he could put one foot on the plastic and have traction with the other foot. Not!!! Well, Matt lost his footing and slid down the roof feet first. Once off the roof, Matt hit a cable that flipped him on his back and he landed on his back, shoulder and head. James tells me Matt took a very bad fall! The doctor at East Carroll, LA told Matt that he could have broken his back, neck, been paralyzed or died! James said that God was watching after him! That His angels had to carry Matt down off that roof! I know that it was God's grace, love and mercy that was there! After the call from James, I fell apart not knowing the true condition Matt was in! X-rays sh

Here is a blog from Mission Serve's web: Today was supposed to be our half day of work with the night off, however the weather made us change plans so we worked a full day today. Today was a hot but very good day. Crews got out to an early start and were out working all day. Even though alot was done on the houses themselves, also alot was done as far as the ministry to the community. Many people from multiple groups were going to neighbors and homeowners in the area and witnessing to them and just talking to them about what they were doing here in East Carroll and why they were doing this. Alot of the youth found this very enjoyable. There were even some people who were ministered too that now come to the sites everyday and help clean up and help do what they can to help and then they usually sit in on the devotion and that is really cool to see these homeowners around the area so energized by what these youth were doing in the area. Some youth have gotten to know some of these p
